Yoga to me is a homecoming to my true self. The passion I provide to my yogis derives from the transformative nature I have discovered for myself along my own journey through mental health and finding my yoga practice. It is my mission to hold a safe space for others to live their reality on their mats and help them cultivate their light from within. I believe that all bodies are yoga bodies and invite all yogis everywhere to join me on the path to inner peace!
I am a registered Yoga and Meditation Teacher located in the region of Niagara, ON, Canada. As of December 2019 I am a Yoga Alliance (USA) certified instructor after traveling to Costa Rica to complete my 200hr training with Soma Yoga Institute. I am trained additionally in YIN yoga, Gentle Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness, click here to view my qualifications and services in more detail.
Abbey is currently a 200hr RYT with Yoga Alliance, USA. She has been qualified additionally to teach gentle yoga and Yin Yoga. Find your flow with Abbey in a group class, workshop, in your own private group session or work one on one with Abbey either in person or over zoom. Abbey offers multiple styles of Yoga from Vinyassa, Hatha, gentle & YIN. She strives to provide teachings & offer classes that are inclusive to everyBODY and level of ability. Abbey believes that this is YOUR practice & she is there to guide you toward cultivating peace within your body... however that looks for you!
Abbey completed her meditation teacher training with Hoame Meditation Studio in Toronto, ON after experiencing the profound benefits of a regular meditation practice on her own mental health. She offers a weekly meditation class via zoom and workshops to help you cultivate your inner stillness and sit peacefully with one's own body and mind.Work one on one with Abbey to develop the fundamentals of a personal meditation practice or have Abbey work with your group privately in person or over zoom (ideal for corporate groups and staff wellness)
Abbey has completed a certificate in the Foundations of Mindfulness with McMaster University, she strives to share the teachings of mindfulness with others and her personal experience with her own mental health journey and how she introduced mindfulness into her lifestyle. Abbey also offers Mindfulness workshops for kids and youth and currently facilitates workshops to elementary students via zoom!
