Meet Abbey
Abbey believes that yoga is a homecoming to her true self.
As a dedicated athlete for most of her life, she openly expresses the healing power she discovered in the path of yoga and meditation while struggling with her own mental health and disconnection between mind and body. Abbey strives to create this safe space for others to explore deepening their connection to themselves and their bodies as these practices have become foundational in her personal recovery from an eating disorder.
Upon entering Abbey’s class one will quickly notice her calm, friendly and compassionate domineer that causes students of all levels to not just feel welcomed but celebrated. She stands firmly in the belief that yoga is for everyBODY. She has obtained a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher level of certification recognized by Yoga Alliance upon traveling to Costa Rica in 2019 to complete her 200hr certificate and in 2021 to Mexico where she completed her 300hr training. Abbey became a certified Meditation instructor in 2020 and is trained additionally in mindfulness as well as Yin yoga and Yoga for Eating Disorder Recovery. Her most recent credentials are as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist in which she obtained in 2021, in Costa Rica. Abbey offers the wisdom of Ayurveda through workshops and in one to one Ayurvedic yoga sessions for healing and balance.
As an instructor Abbey celebrates the uniqueness of all individuals and even in her athletic-moving Vinyassa classes she prides herself in offering modifications that make her classes accessible and encouraging to all. Students of Abbey are welcomed into their own yoga journey that meets them where they are at as she believes there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to yoga and transformation.
A desiring yogi may be guided by Abbey by attending public or private group classes or in one-to-one private practice sessions for a customizable approach based on the student’s goals. Special groups Abbey has worked with in the past include competitive and varsity sports teams and athletes, corporate wellness, eating disorder recovery groups and school-aged youth.

Yoga
Abbey is currently a 500hr RYT and Ayurveda Yoga Specialist with Yoga Alliance, USA. She has been qualified additionally to teach gentle yoga and Yin Yoga. Find your flow with Abbey in a group class, workshop, in your own private group session or work one on one with Abbey either in person or over zoom. Abbey offers multiple styles of Yoga from Vinyassa, Hatha, gentle & YIN. She strives to provide teachings & offer classes that are inclusive to everyBODY and level of ability. Abbey believes that this is YOUR practice & she is there to guide you toward cultivating peace within your body... however that looks for you!
Meditation
Abbey completed her meditation teacher training with Hoame Meditation Studio in Toronto, ON after experiencing the profound benefits of a regular meditation practice on her own mental health. She offers a weekly meditation classes and workshops to help you cultivate your inner stillness and sit peacefully with one's own body and mind. Work one on one with Abbey to develop the fundamentals of a personal meditation practice or have Abbey work with your group privately in person or over zoom (ideal for corporate groups and staff wellness)
Mindfulness
Abbey has completed a certificate in the Foundations of Mindfulness with McMaster University, she strives to share the teachings of mindfulness with others and her personal experience with her own mental health journey and how she introduced mindfulness into her lifestyle. Book Abbey for a private or corporate mindfulness workshop either in person or over zoom. Abbey also offers Mindfulness workshops for kids and youth and currently facilitates workshops to elementary students via zoom!
